Wood & Material

Highly selected raw materials which as base of a high quality furniture, we buy from legal government wood plantations under strict quality control. We only use dry and seasoned timber to manufacture our furniture. Although most items are entirely solid wood we reserve the right to have sections made of man materials such as plywood and MDF. This is done purely for manufacturing reasons and the stability of the piece of furniture. A good example would be if a painted finish was ordered then it is possible that the panels or tops would be constructed of a man made material, such as plywood to reduce the possibility of shrinkage or splitting.

Mahogany Wood

A strong wood that holds its shape well. Reddish brown in color with a close, uniform grain, making it good for carving detail. Mahogany is very receptive to a large range of finishes.

Teak Wood

One of the strongest woods which stand up well to the elements ideal for outdoor furniture. Yellow / brown in color with a relatively straight grain. Teak timber is particularly valued for its durability and water resistance.

Mindi Wood

Known as white cedar, is a fine-grained hardwood known for its light color, smooth texture and durability. Mindi wood is light brown to almost white in color.

Suar Wood

Known as South American Walnut or Rain Tree. Large wood available. Suar wood is often used to create large table, bench, statue. Easy to carved, coarse texture and uniquely coloured layers.

Plywood

Plywood is a manufactured, multi-layered engineered wood product made by gluing thin sheets of wood veneer together under heat and pressure. Normally, we use Plywood for Contemporary / Minimalist Furniture.

MDF ( Medium Density Fiberboard )

Which is an engineered wood product made by breaking down wood residuals into fine fibers and pressing them together with wax and resin under high heat and pressure. Normally, we use MDF for Painted Color Furniture.
